Overview

This 9-day winter Ladakh tour begins and ends in Leh. The opening two days are focused on acclimatization and local sightseeing, including Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Leh Market, Hall of Fame, Spituk Monastery, Pather Sahib Gurdwara, Magnetic Hill and Sangam Point.

The journey then heads to Nubra Valley via Khardung La. In Nubra, the itinerary includes Diskit Monastery, the Hunder sand dunes and a Bactrian camel safari, followed by separate excursions towards Turtuk and Thang Village, and towards Sumur’s Samstanling Monastery, Panamik hot springs and the Siachen-side route near Sasoma. These portions remain subject to weather, road conditions, permits and local accessibility.

From Hunder, travel continues via the Agham–Shyok route to Pangong Tso. The onward route to Hanle passes through Spangmik, Maan, Merak, Chushul, the Rezang La War Memorial and Tsaga La Pass. In Hanle, the itinerary includes Hanle Monastery and Hanle Observatory, with stargazing dependent on local conditions.

The return to Leh includes Nyoma, Mahe Bridge, Puga Valley, Hemis Monastery, Shey Monastery, Thiksey Monastery, Rancho School and Sindhu Ghat before departure from Leh Airport the next day.
